I felt totally stuck with my body. I was uncomfortable and frustrated. I felt like I just needed to learn to be okay with my body as it was since there was no way to change, but I never felt good about myself. I didn’t want to go on a “diet”, worried that the weight I lost would come right back. I was initially inspired by watching Karen’s own journey. I am so glad I reached out to her when I needed nutrition advice and help for my own weight loss journey. She has helped me make meaningful changes to my diet, tailored my plan specifically to me and continued to check in with me, whether in person or via the internet, to keep me accountable and encouraged. I decided to work with Karen after I saw her own transformation – the bits and pieces we would discuss about her process peaked my interest. Could nutrition and a change in exercise really be the key to my own transformation?  I have spent 15 plus years focused on cardio, eating less than 1,000 calories a day, and keeping my carb intake way down. In just three months with Karen, I weigh less than what I weighed 15 plus years ago, I have lost inches everywhere, I eat at least 500 more calories a day, and I have never eaten so many carbs in my life! I have gained more of an understanding of what I need to fuel my body and I catch myself looking in the mirror in awe of the changes (is that really a little definition in my arms!). Karen’s commitment to me has been life changing – from her checking on my nutrition and daily intake to her recipes to her support when I am having an off day – it has been the best decision I ever made.  So much so that I have signed up for another three months! Who knows where these next three months will take me, but I am learning to trust the process and that is because of Karen!

In the summer of 2019 my goal was to lose 10 pounds.  My 16 year old daughter (who is a dedicated athlete) wanted to eat healthier.  After reviewing our needs, Karen devised a simple and effective eating plan (although very different) for both of us.

Karen took into account my needs of not wanting to measure out food, and that both my daughter and myself, were already physically active.  I'm happy to say that we both changed our diets and it was really quite easy.  Karen continued to monitor us by face-to-face meetings, texts and emails.  She also sent us easy recipes (I'm not much of a cook) and inspirational messages to keep us on track.  In addition to all of her nutritional coaching, I was also dealing with extreme plantar fasciitis.  Karen did a few Voila method sessions on me which helped tremendously. 

Karen really listens to each client and treats them as an individual.  She is inspiring to look at due to her incredible commitment to fitness and diet.  She is realistic in adapting a plan to your lifestyle.  I would recommend her to anyone seeking to revamp their nutrition or health for whatever reason.  I would also encourage anyone to try Voila if needed and have an open mind.
